Pressed floral 101
At Pressed Floral, we love preserving vibrant, colorful blooms. Some of our favorites include peonies, butterfly ranunculus, delphinium, stock flower, larkspur, hellebore, sunflowers, Canterbury bells, and many more.
Pressed Floral preserves flowers naturally, without toxic chemicals or artificial coloring. As a result, some color change and fading may occur due to natural pigment oxidation. Simply put: naturally dried flowers retain less pigment over time.
White flowers naturally yellow or brown during preservation, which is why many preservationists avoid them—but at Pressed Floral, we believe every bloom deserves to be cherished. To enhance your final piece, consider adding greenery and filler flowers for contrast and depth.

I wish I was informed sooner what flowers they were going to use at the focal point of my frame. They selected a purple flower that turned blue (which is understandable/uncontrollable) but that is the main color of my piece and really DOES NOT represent how my actual bouquet looked. Just wish I could have been given a heads up, given it took almost 5 months to come anyway….

The good: The communication from the pressed floral team was quite good, and I appreciated their flexibility in designing the frame and layout. It did turn out to be a lovely piece.
The not-so-good: I have mixed feelings about how things played out for the price that was paid. I was hoping for an 11x14 frame, and submitted a picture to be included in the frame that aligned with the size recommendations of the Pressed Floral team, but during the design process the flowers+picture were not enough to fill the frame and it had to be downsized. For what the piece is - I really wanted it to be a large frame to fill a large empty space in my living room, and the smaller frame that we had to reduce too simply doesn’t work. Considering I had already spent the money to professionally print and ship the photo, I opted to approve the smaller frame suggested and regret that decision now. That is not a reflection of the pressed floral team, but for the price paid I do feel like the recommended picture size should have been accurate or there should have been some creativity to get the layout right to accommodate the sizing. On top of that, I paid the additional $100+ fee to add the art glass, that was advertised to reduce reflections, but have noticed that it is still quite reflective. I would say it was oversold on the value it would provide.

After much research, my husband and I decided to send our wedding bouquet to Pressed Florals. These flowers hold a special place in our hearts as they were a part of one of the most memorable days of our lives.
We chose the 18x24 frame to beautifully capture our rustic flowers. Katelin was fantastic with communication throughout the entire pressing process and was willing to redesign our florals until we achieved the perfect combination. Once we agreed on the arrangement, we decided to upgrade to the wide molding, which we thought would better suit our design. There was a bit of a wait due to the frame supplier, but we were happy to wait because such things are priceless. I truly cannot wait to hang our flowers for all to admire for years to come.
