Shipping your own blooms

Follow the diagram BELOW for a visual on how to ship your blooms using materials around your home

Step 1

Gather your materials

-Client information sheet: Print PDF
- An adequate size box*A smaller size box to act as a vase base (*optional)
- Packing paper or peanuts (no bubblewrap or plastic)
- Paper towel
- Rubber band
- Plastic bag (ziploc, grocery, etc.)

Step 2

Stem prep: cut and wrap

- Freshly cut stems to fit box height (remove any pendants/ ribbons/ papers you want to keep before shipping)
- Dampen the paper towel and use to cover the STEMS ONLY and THEN wrap paper towel with plastic bag, secured with a rubber band

Step 3

Boxing the Blooms

- If you have optional *small vase-size box: Insert wrapped stems into *small box to stabilize stems in shipping box.
- Place bouquet with wrapped stems in shipping box

Step 4

Add packing Filler and PDF

- Add crumpled brown packing paper or peanuts to fill empty space. (DO NOT USE BUBBLE WRAP OR ANY MORE PLASTIC)
- Fill out PDF and place in box

Step 5

Ship your blooms

- Take box to UPS or FedEx and pay for shipping to one of our shop locations. We recommend overnight or 1-2 day shipping!

OTHER TIPS:

- Fragile upright box so that the bouquet doesn't get thrown around

 - DO NOT WRAP FLOWERS IN ANY KIND OF PLASTIC. This includes bubblewrap.
 
- DO NOT let a shipping carrier package it for you, they tend to wrap them in plastic bags.

- Crumbled paper, dry paper towels, packing peanuts, are all great options that are not plastic!
 
- Make sure not to wrap the entire bouquet in a bag, keep the blossoms uncovered and away from moisture or they can mold

-We do NOT recommend placing your florals in the freezer

- We do NOT recommend shipping them in a Styrofoam cooler

- We suggest UPS or FedEx as they tend to have the best rates and service

- You'll want to ship it either overnight or 1-2 day shipping

- We never recommend shipping with USPS, as we have found they often deliver later than our clients are told

Add Bloom Protection at checkout to protect from unforseen circumstances in shipping.

Our shop is not open on the weekends, do not schedule a shipment to arrive on Saturday or Sunday, or before our opening hours (paying additional to have your package arrive before 10am overnight is not necessary, they will redeliver it during our hours.)

All arrangements will be notified of delivery within 48 hours of arrival. You will be able to see the condition, and know of any blooms that may have arrived unworkable.
